Tulips in Bloom
We went to my hometown last week where all the tulips were in bloom, so made this little fake travel poster to celebrate them. Aren’t they sweet?
Here are my fun things I’d like to share:
I am always amazed when Craigslist alerts come through for me. I have the app on my phone and I set up an alert for a new bike for Elliott, when the perfect one popped up I was able to jump on it. You can set your parameters by price, distance and description and then you forget about it and all of a sudden an alert will pop up on your phone and you’ll feel like you won the lottery.
I’ve been wearing my cotton maryjanes that I got in chinatown and they feel so fun. I want to get some more poppy colors like red or yellow. Maybe these?
I’ve also been enjoying these free pilates workouts from Move with Nicole. I definitely don’t do them everyday, but when I do they are really enjoyable and challenging.
In love with the prints from Printer Johnson.
I made a batch of these turkey spinach meatballs and it makes A LOT, so I almost froze half of them. Instead I think I’m going to throw them in spaghetti for dinner and eat them for lunch with some chickpea salad. Jason wants to put them on some naan as a sandwich. They’re real good.
I saw an old man at the playground the other day with this amazing faded pink crewneck sweatshirt with a SEPTA logo (Philly’s transit system). It made me go to their store to see what kind of swag they had. This Market Frankford line is pretty great. This article on grocery store apparel was delightful too. Found via Of a Kind.
Health Stuff:
I am one week away from my surgery and am wavering between ready to get it over with and terrified. It’s always hard living away from family in times like this. My friend Karen’s going to take me to the hospital so Jason can get Elliott to school. Then he’s got a playdate lined up after school. Sorting out the logistics and asking for help is not my favorite. I’m just thankful for friends who are basically family close by. Friends who have offered to bring meals and help out. We couldn’t do hard things without our community of people. I do not take it for granted.
Thank you for being here!
