Things Worth Sharing
We went to see the FriendsWithYou installation at the Navy Yard. All the kids and grown ups loved it. We followed up with a visit to the central green park and everyone rode their bikes around the track and played bocce ball. It was such a nice day.
A friend tipped me off to the super delightful performance of Stephen Nedoroscik (pommel horse guy) on dancing with the stars. There are rubik’s cubes, the music of Queen, a split and it is so fun.
It feels like fall so I made a big pot of chili and have gathered all the ingredients to make an apple pie.
As you can tell I love hearing what everyone’s favorite things are, so I love to see what folks recommend and Jason Schwartzman’s list did not disappoint. Boggle! Magnets (lol)! These are my kind of recommendations!
I saw someone doing this really fun tie-dye technique with sharpies and rubbing alcohol and I want to give it a try. Here’s Martha demonstrating.
Jason and I have been transforming Elliott’s room with new paint and shelves. It’s not Pinterest worthy or anything, but I’m really proud of the fact that we haven’t had to buy a bunch of new things to make it really great. The biggest impact has definitely been getting rid of a bunch of stuff. It looks so good! And so grown up! I have a couple craft projects that I want to do to make it really special. I’ll never be as good as Adam Pogue, but I’d love to make a little quilted curtain.
Take care friends. Thanks for being here.
