Little Things
Here are a few things
This week marks 6 months after my thyroid surgery, so I’ve been busy with bloodwork, ultrasound, doctors appointments etc. There is one rogue lymph node they’re keeping their eye on, but other than that I’m good. I’m feeling thankful for my health, but also wondering how I could be healthier. It’s a lot to be a human with a body.
I took myself to a big makeup store this week. I am not a makeup person. Makeup is an expensive foreign language to me, so I thought I would seek some professional help. I made an appointment and a nice lady did my makeup for me and helped me find products and was super kind. It was really frivolous and fun. Highly recommend.
I was driving myself nuts trying to figure out what contracts I needed in order to send out my surface pattern design work to potential clients. Then I stumbled upon the Graphic Arts Guild and their extensive contracts that they have available for free.
I really want to get better at making floral patterns so I signed up to Barbel Dressler’s free workshop on creating a trailing floral pattern.
Downloading this peace poster Free artwork from Steve Powers.
I made this olive oil pumpkin cake that we shared with some neighbors on halloween, and am ready to make it again.
Trying to paint more.
I’m thinking about starting some sort of subscription based product. Like a tea towel club maybe? I want to make something that’s functional and giftable and not too expensive. I’d make new artwork every month and send out a tea towel to subscribers. Thoughts? I want to make something that people would be interested in and would provide me some recurring income.
