Artwork for Tweens
We have had a bunch of tween birthday parties to attend lately and that means presents to pick out. Tweens can be hard to buy for because they already have so. much. stuff. I surprised myself by picking out art for a couple kiddos, but when I stopped to think about why I had the urge to buy art for them it made a lot of sense. They are getting to the age where they want to plaster their walls with things that reflect something about themselves. And why not try and influence them a little bit by giving them something beautiful and fun and wild to enjoy. Most screen prints or risograph prints are less than $40 and they feel really special. So I thought it would be fun to do a roundup of art I would buy for a tween. It was the most colorful rabbit hole I’ve been down in a while. Here are some of my faves.
